The Board of Directors of Assarmatori met in Rome at its headquarters on Via del Babuino. Among the items on the agenda was the report of the Nominations Committee – chaired by Franco Del Giudice (Delcomar) and composed of Stefano Beduschi (Italia Marittima) and Franco Ronzi (Marinvest) – which had been mandated by the General Assembly of Members last June to identify candidates for the position of President of the shipowners’ association. The renewal of the presidency is scheduled for January 2026, together with that of the Vice Presidents and the members of the Board of Directors.

Following an intensive process during which all Ordinary and Full Members were heard, a unanimous position emerged in favour of asking the current President, Stefano Messina, to remain in office for a further term, in light of the path of growth and positioning achieved since the Association’s founding in 2018.

By the end of January, therefore, the Board of Directors will convene the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly, which will be called upon to approve the renewal of the Association’s governing bodies for the 2026–2030 four-year term.
