Assarmatori Career Days are back in Campania. Appointment on Friday 18 October in Naples aboard the M/N Rubattino

After the summer break, the appointments organized by Assarmatori are back, aimed at rediscovering, especially among young people, the maritime vocation. A tough but fascinating profession, ancient but modern at the same time, which offers them certain answers and encourages meetings with shipping companies and with those who have already undertaken a career at sea.

After the success of the Career Days in Livorno, Torre del Greco and Palermo, the “format” is back in Campania: Friday 18 October, from 10:00, appointment on board the M/N Rubattino moored near the Molo Immacolatella in the Port of Naples, to discover not only the ship environment, but also fuel a constructive discussion with various shipping companies that will be able to satisfy the hunger for curiosity of those who are evaluating, for their future, the concrete possibility of undertaking a career on board.

The meetings are expected to be attended by students from various high schools, along with anyone interested in pursuing a career on board ships, who on this occasion will be able to meet and discuss with representatives of shipping companies.

“The large turnout we recorded in Livorno, Torre del Greco and Palermo, with over 1,500 young people who wanted to be present at a time when we intend to bring together job supply and demand, has encouraged us to continue with our goal of developing Career Days throughout Italy,” commented Giovanni Consoli, Deputy Secretary General of Assarmatori. “As is well known, shipping is struggling with a shortage of maritime personnel that has taken on emergency connotations, especially during the summer season. We are all committed, the Ministry, Shipowners and Social Partners, to relaunch an ancient and at the same time modern profession that has given so much to our country.”
