Assarmatori, together with its special purpose company Oltremare – Integrated services for shipping, and the associated Shipping Companies, will participate in the “Verso il Lavoro” event, organized by the Municipality of Naples, Youth and Labor Department.
For three days, from December 3 to 5, 2024 – from 9:30 to 18:30 at the Mostra d’Oltremare – thanks to the Verso il Lavoro initiative, which the main Employment Agencies in the area have also joined, those looking for a job, without age limits, will have the opportunity to participate in interviews and meetings and make the most of the skills acquired over time both through studies and previous work experiences by comparing themselves with various companies capable of hiring new workers.

“The welcome invitation received from the Municipality of Naples, in particular from Councilor Chiara Marciani – explains Giovanni Massimiliano Consoli, Deputy Secretary General of Assarmatori – was promptly accepted by our Association which took action by involving the associated Shipping Companies to create new recruiting moments, fully embracing the spirit of the initiative. A three-day event in which it will be possible to fuel a constructive discussion with various shipping companies that will satisfy the hunger for curiosity of those who are evaluating, for their future, the concrete possibility of starting a career on board. In this regard, we would like to point out that Assarmatori has already created specific Career Days in 2024 in Livorno, Torre del Greco, Palermo and Naples, putting over 2000 potential workers in contact with shipping companies looking for personnel to employ on board their ships. Adding further value to these recruiting activities – concludes Consoli – is also the “Welcome on board” campaign launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport which, with interministerial decree MIT/MEF n. 297 of 17/11/2023, has allocated 7 million euros, for the period 2023-2026, to be allocated to shipping companies that undertake to train and hire new workers. Therefore, for aspiring seafarers, training will be completely free”.
